Totalitarian: Countries & Leaders, Modern & Historical

Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, Benito Mussolini, Vladimir Lenin

Prior to what many people think Totalitarianism still happens in today’s world. It is a major problem in many countries around the world; a problem that nobody finds the interest to get involved in. Many leaders take advantage of their authority and hundreds of people are being killed a day because they don't meet the expectations and visions of these leaders. The media never covers any of these problems because the media is more interested in the lives of the celebrities. However, if we were able to see the problems that are surrounding these poor people in their countries we may feel more obligated to want to help them. They suffer at the hands of their leaders and we as a wealthy and strong nation do nothing. If we as a nation stood up to help these people there would be less death and suffering in our world.

Three modern day countries that are considered to be totalitarian are:
  1. North Korea
  2. Cuba
  3. China
Four famous totalitarian leaders are:
  1. Adolf Hitler
  2. Joseph Stalin
  3. Benito Mussolini
  4. Vladimir Lenin
